Still Pregnant

I went to the doctor yesterday... nothing really happened. She was running out the door to go deliver a baby, so I barely saw her. But she said she will check me next week to see how far along I am (if I haven't gone into labor already) and we'll see what happens from there. The baby's heart rate is still going strong, it was 144 bpm yesterday afternoon. I have a feeling I'll go past my due date, but we'll see. I can't believe he's going to be here so soon. My due date is only 9 days away! But I still feel great. I'm huge and it's hard to get up and down, but everything is going really well. I hope the labor and delivery goes as smoothly as my pregnancy has. I'm so excited to meet him, but I know I will miss feeling his movements inside of me. Maybe next time I post I'll have some pictures of little baby Maeker.

The Baby's Room

Here we are with less than 2 weeks until the due date and I'm feeling like it's almost time. I woke up last night with some strange feelings and I stayed awake for a bit to see what happened. Of course, it was nothing... but I don't think it will be long. So... we have decided to call him Ethan. But we still haven't decided on his middle name. That will come when we see him I guess. Everything is pretty much ready to go. His room is basically ready, the bags are packed, and we're working on warming Kujo up to the idea of having a brother. I'll let you know how that goes...

I have another doctor's appointment tomorrow. I'll be 38.5 weeks. Hopefully everything is still going well and I'll go home for another week of preparation. I've posted some pictures of little Ethan's room. I think he'll love it.

Well, I think Baby Maeker is going to be here sooner than I know it. There is still a lot to do at work and in his room, but I'm feeling much more prepared now. We have been so lucky to have a couple of showers and our friends and family have come out in full force to help prepare us for this little boy. It has been so amazing and wonderful to see how much everyone already loves our baby. This is a really special time for us and I can't believe it's all going to change soon. But I'm so excited to meet him!
