Ethan's First Astros Game!
Ethan went to his first Astros game last Sunday. It was so much fun. He was so good the whole time. We used to have season tickets and I started thinking about how we had not been to a game all season. Why not??? We had a baby! I remember thinking: how can someone bring a little baby to a baseball game? What if they got hit with a foul ball? And here I am with my kid. He was fine. He was more than fine.... he was great! He had fun and so did we. He's so freaking cute!

3 month check-up
Well... if you didn't know it by now, I have a big son! He was 15 lbs, 6 oz and 26 inches long. That puts him in the 90th % for his weight and 95-97% on height. The doctor says he looks great. I'm so happy to have a healthy little boy. I couldn't ask for anything else. He's so happy and sweet and his beautiful smile can make my day.

3 Months Old!
Last Saturday was Ethan's 3 month birthday. He is such a big boy! He is sleeping from about 9:30 to 6 or so during the night and he still eats 6 times a day. We go to his 3 month check-up next week, so I'm not sure how long he is or how much he weighs. I would guess he's weighing about 15.5 lbs. He is sitting up in his bumbo and 2 days after his 3 month b-day, he rolled over!! Allen and I were both there to see it. It was before work on Monday morning. I couldn't believe he did it. I also know that I am in for trouble with this little guy. He is going to be an active kid. He's been an active baby since the beginning. I love him so much and I love watching him grow and discover new things.

Mom Guilt
Well, it has been a rough week. Not only did I go back to work, but I left my little man at daycare. That was hard. I'm sorry, it wasn't just hard, it was the hardest thing I've ever done! But he's doing great. I really think it is just me. He hasn't had any interruptions to his sleep. He's just as happy as ever. He's eating fine. There is no diaper rash. He's great. I'm the train wreck. They literally have to take him out of my hands in the morning. But it's getting better. I didn't cry today. Things are looking up! I talked to my mom about it and told her about how guilty I was feeling. (Of course, I'm crying during this conversation) She told me that she finally stopped feeling guilty after we went to school. Me: "IT TOOK FIVE YEARS TO STOP FEELING GUILTY????" Mom: "Uh, no. I'm talking about when you left for college." Really? Is it really going to last that long? I know he's fine. I just know he's not getting the one on one attention that I could give him if I stayed home. Oh well, I know that every working mother goes through this struggle. What is important is that I do like his daycare. They are sweet to him and sweet to us. They take care of my tooter and that is what matters. But I won't lie to you. This was a hard week.
