6 Month Pictures
We went to Dallas a couple of weeks ago to visit Aunt Alex, Uncle Danny, Aunt Deanna, and Kaya. It was lots of fun and Ethan loved meeting his cousin. Soon he will get to meet baby Korbyn... the newest member of the Kievit Family. We also got to go visit the Baronoskie's while we were in town. Their kids are so sweet and they love Ethan. It was so nice getting to BBQ and relax with them and Lindsay even took Ethan's 6 month pictures. She does such a great job and it is so great to have someone who actually enjoys your kid taking pictures! Alex was so helpful keeping Ethan happy and playing with the Baronoskie kids also. We had a blast and I couldn't ask for better memories.

I love football!
If Ethan is anything like Allen and me, he is going to love the sport (actually, I don't think he will have much of a choice). He is really torn over who to cheer for this weekend when Texas Tech comes to town to play UofH.

6 WHOLE MONTHS!!!
I can't believe my baby boy is 6 months already. He's so big and strong and adorable! He's been doing so well, we couldn't have asked for a better baby. He already has 2 teeth on the bottom and all 4 are popping out on the top. He went to his check up on 9/8 and was 19lbs 4 oz (75-90%) and 28 inches long (95%). He's working on eating more solids although he's not all that interested in it. But I think he's getting better. Ethan is such a joy to our lives. His smile can light up a room and his laugh stops people in their tracks. It's that adorable baby laugh that can make you almost cry it's so sweet!

5 Months
Ethan is 5 months now. I can hardly believe it! He's starting to sit up on his own and he rolls back and forth from his tummy to his back and his back to his tummy. He's almost got this whole getting around thing by just rolling across the floor. I guess my days of doing other things while Ethan played quietly on the floor are gone. (well... he's never really been "quiet") He squeals all morning long while I try to get an extra 10 minutes of sleep, but it's so cute. We went to the doctor for a 5 month check up on his birthday. He was 17 lbs and 13 oz (75% on weight) and 27 inches long (90% for height). His head is now in the 50th percentile. He's a big growing boy. We are so lucky that he is healthy and happy and progressing so well. I have started giving him more solid foods. He had sweet potatoes and really liked them and now I have tried green beans (he loved) and soy beans (not so much).

SOLIDS!
Ethan and I went out to Katy to spend the night at Nana & Papa's since Allen is out of town in Florida. We had lots of fun swimming in the pool and then I made homemade sweet potatoes for Ethan to try. He has had rice cereal a couple of times, but this was the first real solid food he has had. He actually did pretty well and ate quite a bit of it. Well, most of it ended up on his face and chest and hands... but you get the idea.
