Bad Blogger

I've been so busy with work lately that I haven't had a chance to post anything. Maybe it's because I've been chasing a 14 month around also. Ethan is doing so well. He wants to talk, but he still doesn't really say anything more than mama or dada. He points and says things... but none of it makes any sense. I'm ready for him to say something, but I think I'll enjoy this time since I know once he starts... he's never going to stop.

Happy 1st Birthday Ethan!

I cannot believe that my little guy has been with us for a whole year! He has changed so much since we brought him home. Every day has been a blessing and we are so lucky to have such a beautiful, sweet, happy, healthy, strong boy. He's walking and babbling and eating all of the time. Ethan is such a little cutie and he's still growing. We love him so much.

11 Months

It's been a while since I have posted, but I've been so busy chasing Ethan around. He's WALKING! I guess that's why they call them toddlers... he just takes these adorable baby steps everywhere. I love turning around and seeing him standing there all by himself and walking without holding onto anything. He bends over to pick things up without falling over. It is freaking cute! We had to go to the doctor because he had some congestion in his chest a couple of days before his birthday, so we found out that he is 23 lbs 8 oz (75%) and 30 1/4 inches tall (95%). He has started drinking a little bit of whole milk and we are working on using cups instead of a bottle (that's a lot of fun). He says momma and dada and I think he also trys to say ball. He just started saying "uh-oh" this morning. I love it! He is signing a little bit. He will do the motions for more and if I say bye-bye, he waves his hand over his head. I love it. Pretty soon he will be one year and I cannot believe it. He has grown so much over this year and I love watching him learn new things.

I have had to get creative with these birthday signs. All he wants to do is tear them up and eat them. And then his whole mouth turns blue.

10 months

10 months today!

As you can tell, these pictures are getting harder and harder to take. Especially when you are doing it by yourself.

Our little boy is 10 month's old! He weighs about 22.5 lbs and is 30.5 inches long. He is so close to walking it's scary. I'm sure he'll be there before he's 11 months. He's such a funny little guy. Always happy and laughing. I love it! He thinks his daddy is the funniest guy around. He's still doing very well at his school and we are happy with them and how much they love him. Ethan is so much fun to be with and we are so lucky to have such an adorable, loving, healthy little boy.

We spent New Year's Eve at my parents' house in Katy with Alex, Shane, Butch and my parents. It was a lot of fun. Ethan got to see fireworks for the first time and after he went to bed we all sat around and played Mexican Train dominoes. We really enjoy getting to spend to spend time with family and were happy to be with my parents on thier 30 year wedding anniversary (it's New Year's Day). Happy 2010 everyone!
